The Indian stock market is facing uncertainty today and tomorrow due to the ongoing Gujarat (and Himachal Pradesh) elections. Heavy volatility may prevail, leading to a broad range day. Profit booking is possible at higher levels, and the trend may turn negative the next day.

However, on Wednesday, the market is expected to return to a positive trend, only to turn negative again for Thursday and Friday.

The following week is short due to XMAS holidays. In the first half of the week, the market may experience a correction.

Nifty has support at 10200 and resistance at 10500, while Bank Nifty has support at 25200 and resistance at 25800.

Intraday traders should remain alert as stop-loss levels may not make sense in today’s broad range.

From 11.00 to 12.30 HRS IST, the market is expected to be negative. From 12.30 to 13.30 HRS IST, a recovery may be seen.

From 13.30 HRS IST to closing, the market shall be highly uncertain, with heavy volatility. The closing is expected to be bearish.
